I found this Peace dollar by an old barracks site.  Only the foundation was remaining.  In 1985 and 1986 I was stationed at Fort Bliss and hunted this site and somehow missed this large coin.  In 1992 when stationed back at Fort Bliss I didn't miss it the second time around.  It is very easy to miss a coin and that is why it pays off to keep hitting the same site over and over again.
