Civil War Carved Bullets
The bullets on each end were carved from .58
caliber three ringers. The bullet second from right appears to be carved
from a .54 caliber Sharps. The bullet second from left was most likely a
.54 caliber Sharps flat base. Bullets were often carved during slow times.
I guess it was even true back in the civil war about the old army adage "Hurry
up and wait". |
