Three Rivers Petroglyph National Recreational Site These pictures were taken at Three Rivers Petroglyph National Recreational Site just north of Tularosa, New Mexico on US Highway 54. The pictures carved into the boulders converted a prehistoric hunting camp into an art gallery. The petroglyph with the bird in it has some mountains in the background. They are the Sacramento Mountains, home of the Apache mountain spirit.
