Because of dry and "hot" soil conditions the quarter gave off a dollar reading on the VDI scale.  It was 3 1/2" deep.
The Mercury dime was a solid 72 on the VDI scale and 4" deep. 

 

This religious pendant gave off a half dollar reading.  It was 2" deep.

 


The U.S. insignia has a pin on the reverse.  It was probably an officer's insignia from around WWI. 
The buffalo nickel is dated 1918.  The token in new.
